Mommy is currently losing the game of pop in the pacifier, pop out the pacifier. The girls love to spit them out and cry wanting it stuck back in. My favorite is when they flip out each others with their flailing arms. C likes to do this to M and then stare at her while she cries. I think she does it on purpose, but Nana thinks they're too young and sweet to do that! ! In the pictures on this post, C is on the left and M is on the right. In the picture where the girls are in red and white jumpers, it looks like M just socked C, but it was a love tap!
Mommy started weight watchers again. She had a successful run before the invitro procedure losing about 30 pound in 5 months. So far she has lost over 5 pounds in one week and is attributing it to the increase in vegetables and fruits, also the breast feeding is speeding up the process! In the quest to have children Mommy learned of a thing called patience, so she is prepared to have it while losing the weight too. One of our friends says it takes 9 months to gain all that weight, so it will take at least that long to get it off!
The girls are growing by leaps and bounds, they will be 3 months on Monday. C was born smaller than M, but now out weighs her. She is a little taller too. We will get their new measurements at their next doctors appointment. Daddy has to attend this one, as Mommy wants him to help out when the babies get their shots. Mommy also wants him to hear just how loud Miss C can get! Both babies love to smile and each have their special moments. C can lift up her head when she is on her tummy, while M is mostly just kicking and can't quite lift her head yet. We try to get them on their tummys more, but they hate it so much! Good friend A said her son hated tummy time too!
Mommy has been busy not only with babies, but her lavender is ready to harvest. She went out and picked a little last night, but it can be a time consuming process, especially now that we have over 20 plants. If anyone wants any bulk lavender let us know! Mommy is thinking of how she can package it to possibly sell at a craft show at Nana's church later this month. Mommy is also making lots of cards and some jam. Yesterday the whole family embarked to a very small farmers market and stocked up on rhubarb for some strawberry rhubarb jam. Mommy also finally got a library card and checked out some of the children's programs so we can start going to story hour and such.
Our garden is coming along, the over watered basil is still suffering some, but we hope the hot weather will revive it. Our lettuce is ready to start harvesting, so no more store bought lettuce! We had our first harvest of Oregon sugar peas, which taste like sugar snap peas, but are flat like snow peas. We also have one hot pepper growing right now out of one of our several pepper plants, we never knew how they grew so it's been interesting.
Mommy will get to try out having a solo week here in a bit when Daddy has to go out of town again. It should be interesting! Grandma Gigi has offered her services as a relief caregiver after she gets off work so Mommy can get a little time off. I'm sure we will be eagerly awaiting Daddy's return!
That's all for now, Mommy has to run and go take a shower while the girls are taking a rare nap at the same time!
