Whew! What a week and it's not over yet! The last few days have been quite busy for us, which is exhausting, but a nice change from the day to day activities.
Mommy has been busy trying to prepare for the craft fair this coming Saturday, making cards, but not really completed any yet! At least the jam is done, so there will be something on her table! Saturday was cousin L's birthday party and Mommy was looking forward to it all week and wasn't disappointed. There were a lot of people there in addition to a lot of family. It was great to introduce the girls to Aunt K's family and see Grandpa L, Grandma C, Grandma Gigi and Grandpa M. Mommy got a nice break as the girls were passed around and being rocked to sleep, a nice treat for them. Mommy doesn't always have the time to rock two babies to sleep. Daddy was one of the photographers for the day, a good thing too because Aunt K and Uncle M were very busy chasing little tots, putting out food and replenishing bubble solution! We have a lot of cute pictures of cousin L, but a lot of them show her as a blonde blur, which tells you what Aunt K is chasing around on a daily basis!
Daddy had to leave on another trip very early on father's day, his last trip he left early on mother's day. The girls and Mommy gave him his presents on Friday, but we will need to make up for both holidays next year! Mommy is flying mostly solo this week, but luckily a friend came down with her 3 1/2 year old to help out and meet the girls. She just moved back to Washington from the east coast so she is now much closer! One of the reasons for coming down was to help Mommy with the girls doctors appointment. Too bad Mommy was told it was actually in July not June after she got to the doctors office, OOPS! The other reason is to help baby wrangle at a small photo shoot tomorrow. The store where we bought the girls cloth diapers called us wondering if they could use the babies in their catalog shots for their organic baby clothes. Hopefully all goes well and babies cooperate! I should be able to post a link so you can see them online when they get the new pictures up.
Later this week when Daddy gets home, we will be traveling down to Nana and Poppas for the first time in awhile! It will be the girls first trip away from home, we're both excited and nervous! Mommy has to pack and prepare everything and be ready to go as soon as Daddy gets home from the airport. The girls will probably travel down there just fine, it's just being away from familiar comforts, swings, bouncy seats and all other accoutrement babies acquire, (but not require!) We're excited to go home though and get out of the city. Next week will be a nice relief to get back into our normal (normal as we can be) groove. We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new cousin to join cousin L, hopefully all will go well and easily for their family.
More later, after Mommy completes some cards for the craft fair!
I love your blog! I hope the craft fair went well-I bet your jam was a hit! Good luck with the traveling of babies as well! We hope to go to Spokane for Christmas... so I am always interested in hearing how people handle the traveling of babies :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great posts-I love hearing about your day to day stuff!!
I can't figure out how you had time to make all the jam but I know how wonderful it is. Traveling with babies is fun as you have so many things to pack. We moved from Illinois to Delaware when our boys were a year and M was 3. That was an experience. I was always thankful they liked to travel.
