Pictures from top to bottom, Mommy with C and M at a wedding, Nana with C, M being a ham, C not wanting to smile but cute in her dress!
Mommy is looking forward to some quiet time...someday right? Last week was a stressful draining week for a lot of people. Mommy's best friend, A had a death in the family. Her little sister's husband was killed in a car accident on Hwy 20, they have two small children together and he was only 26. Losing someone you love is always sad and to have it happen when they're so young and suddenly is always shocking. The recovery process for their entire family will be long, but they have a lot of support.
Our trip down to the hometown for the funeral also happened to be when Daddy's Aunt P was in town visiting her sister. Funnily enough Aunt P's sister lives less than a mile away from Nana and Poppa's house (Mommy's parents). Mommy, Aunt P, M, C and Daddy all squeezed in to the tiny car and got to go to Newport for lunch on Monday. Daddy was crammed in the back seat between the two car seats! Luckily Daddy has a little bottom, otherwise he wouldn't have fit! We went down to the bay front and did the tourist thing for a little bit until the girls made it absolutely necessary for us to go back home. Aunt P got to witness the worst meltdown we've ever had from the girls on the way home. Part of it was because the girls could see their daddy and were wondering why he wasn't picking them up and saving them from the doom of the dreaded car seat! After Daddy put the covers down we heard a little improvement and of course they fell asleep by the time we reached Nana and Poppa's for the next feeding. Aunt P is heading up our way on Sunday and will get to see all the Portland Callahan's, that will be 3 babies and a toddler, parents too of course!
During these ever so busy summer weeks of running around and having people over the girls have been growing and developing so much. They have both succeeded in rolling over and frequently do so, then scream in displeasure. M can scoot herself on the floor just a little bit when she's on her tummy and is starting to put her hands down, creeping can't be far away. C can roll over too and did first, but she's a little lazy. The girls are showing interest in different toys and each have their favorites. C likes noisy toys like rattles, while M still prefers fabric like toys she can grasp and chew on. We think teething can't be too far away and that will be very interesting!
The summer holds just a few more parties, a wedding and hopefully a lot more tomatoes! Mommy would like to make one more big batch of jam to last us for the rest of the year, but will need to wait until Daddy has a day off and Mommy has the energy! Fall is just around the corner as is the girls 6 month birthday. Now that sounds crazy, half a year already! Mommy's friend A said today the baby stage goes so quickly, it's only a year and were almost half way there!
Mommy is including a link to a blog that she did an interview for. If you don't want to hear about the delivery of the babies, then don't follow the link! The lady who does the blog was Mommy's acupuncturist and specializes in infertility treatments.

You'll need to scroll down and you will find a small picture of the girls at the of the interview regarding the birth. Also, Babyworks still haven't put up there new website, but we'll tell you when it's up and you can go look for the girls pictures!
Mommy will have to write more later, it is time for the girls to get their baths and get ready for bed!
