M and her flock of seagulls morning hair!In the last month so much has happened! Mommy turned 31 and had a fabulous night out with Auntie K and bestie A. To sum it all up in a few words, LIMO (a surprise from Auntie K), dresses, cocktails, dinner, Sex and the City 2, drinks and dessert! It was a great night out and Mommy hasn't been up that late since middle of the night feedings! A week later Mommy and Daddy got to go out to dinner and the ballet while Gigi babysat, the ballet and babysitting were a gift from Gigi and dinner was in celebration of Mommy and Daddy's EIGHT year anniversary! So much fun all at once! Now if summer would go ahead and get here then we can all have fun in the sun!
The girls have been busy little bees and getting into everything! M has moved on from toddling and can almost run! Her little ears perk up anytime she hears a door open, then you hear her come padding as fast as she can to get into a "forbidden" room. Mommy is constantly running after her and removing her from restricted areas, taking away electronic devices and removing all sorts of items from her mouth! One of her more recent exploits involved pushing a dining room chair into the french doors into Mommy and Daddy's room. She was able to get the door handle in between the chair rungs and locking Mommy in her own room. Luckily the other side of the door wasn't locked so Mommy was able to get out, otherwise she would have had to walk around the house, enter through the garage and locate the spare key! She is saying a little bit more, she said ball today, but we don't know if she actually knows what she means. She does like to repeat things people say and mimic actions as well. Very cute! C FINALLY walked only a few days ago. She had done a couple of steps for both Daddy and Mommy, then while we were both encouraging her she ended up doing 7 or 8 steps between us! What?! Where did that come from? C was completely holding out on Mommy and Daddy! C tends to lack a little confidence still, but is getting there! She also likes to mimic and her new favorite is rubbing her hands together like Mommy when she puts on hand sanitizer after a particularly gross diaper change.
One new stage the girls are coming into is the fighting, hitting, head butting and biting stage! Doesn't it seem a little early for that? Mommy has heard over the phone how Auntie K is constantly playing referee with cousins L and B, so it was really only a matter of time before it was Mommy's turn. Both girls can be the aggressors but M tends to hit C in the head more often! Can I put a silver plated whistle on my Christmas list? Hee hee!
This week has been a busy week so far, Mommy's sister, Auntie L is staying with us this week while Nana and Poppa go to Nana's ## high school reunion. So far it had been pretty low key and hopefully Mommy and Auntie will get to out tomorrow and run a few errands together just the two of us.
Mommy has been thinking more about getting an Etsy site up and running, but sometimes lacks the time and motivation. Mommy has been thinking it would be fun to start a crafting blog, but since she is so rotten about keeping up to date on this one, it remains to be seen. The current craft project is a surprise pop up book for Daddy (he never reads the blog so we're o.k.) and the girls' Christmas stockings. Hopefully Mommy can get them done in time, but since she's working on them in June we're on the right path!
